Joyce D. Conard, 90 (nearly 91), of Port Huron, died Thursday, August 6, 2015.
She was born September 4, 1924 in Newquay, England, to the late Alexander and Mabel Stimson.
A war bride, Joyce arrived in the United States in June of 1947, and married Albert J. Conard on September 6, 1947 (after a marriage proposal atop the Empire State Building, New York City.)
Joyce spent her teen years in England dodging the bombs of World War II and working for the Ministry of Food.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Gerri Stracenrider, sons, Tony (Sue) Conard, Richard (Ellen) Conard, Joe (Sharon) Conard, and Steve (Barb) Conard; grandchildren, Heather Stracenrider (fiancé Rich Urban and children, Allison and Ethan), Adam Stracenrider, Patrick (Casie) Conard, James Conard, Shannon (Ian) Burt, Nick (Kelley) Conard, Carrie Conard, Christy (Chris) Morden, Shelby Conard and Brendan Conard; great grandchildren include, Elijah and Greta Burt, Scott and Max Morden, Dalton and Devyn Conard.
May God bless and welcome her with open arms. TTFN Mom.
