Gary C. Maes, 75, of Kimball Township, died Monday, September 21, 2015.
He was born April 3, 1940 in Port Huron, to the late Charles and Jean Marie Maes. He married Julia A. Kiteley on October 21, 1961 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron.
Gary was a 1958 graduate of Port Huron High School. He was employed at Dunn Paper for 34 years, retiring in 2000.
Gary enjoyed woodworking and also going fishing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; and two sons, Paul (Melissa) Maes and Andrew (Keri) Maes; grandchildren, Olivia, Samantha, Ryan, Daniel and Elisabeth; great-grandchildren, Jaydin and Jordin; brother, Richard (Shirley) Maes, and sister, Camilla Checkley; sister-in-law, Lisa Maes; brother-in-law, Nelson (Peggy) Kiteley; many nieces and nephews; and his caregiver, John Osmer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Maes.
Cremation arrangements by the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
