Gerald E. Krafft, 81, died Thursday,

June 18, 2009.

He was born January 17, 1928 in Port

Huron.

Gerald served in the U.S. Army

following WWII and also served in the Korean War. He retired from

the Fort Gratiot Township DPW. He was a member of the Charles

Hammond Post 8, American Legion.

He enjoyed spending winters in

Florida. He will be missed by his many friends and neighbors in

Michigan and LeLynn Park in Polk City, Florida.

Gerald is survived by his wife Evelyn;

daughters, Jean (John) Schubert, Sandra (Michael) Geremesz and Tina

Hofmann (Lillian); daughter-in-law, Sally Krafft; grandchildren,

Erin, Faye, Brian, Tracey, Michael, Matthew, Jeffrey, Christopher,

Joseph, Natasha, Heather and Sheila; beloved great grandchildren;

siblings, Patricia Johnston, Marjorie Neumann, Sr. Mary Elizabeth

Krafft and Carolyn Krafft; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his first

wife, Ingeborg Krafft; son, Herbert Bill Krafft; daughter,

Sharon Ann Greene and siblings, Mary Jane Phillips, Veronica Willing,

George, William, Robert, Joseph, Leo and John Jack Krafft.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m.

Monday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jospeh Esper, Pastor

of St. Edwards Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope

Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Sunday and 10 a.m. until the service time Monday.

Memorials may be made to the United

Way or the Salvation Army.
