Timothy Eagen

Timothy H. Eagen, 65, of Clyde, died Monday, October 19, 2015, in his home unexpectedly.
He was born April 17, 1950 in Croswell to Frank W. and Norma M. Eagen. He married Lilyann “Dolly” Mieksztyn on November 6, 1970 in St. Christopher Catholic Church.
Tim was a 1968 graduate of Port Huron Catholic High School. He was employed with Detroit Edison for 35 years, retiring in 2005. He was also employed with Kappen Tree Service for 5 years.
Mr. Eagen was a member of the American Legion Post 449, Marysville and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3544 of Comins, Michigan. He loved to vacation at Notre Dame and enjoyed their sports programs, especially being at the Campus Grotto.
Tim was an avid deer hunter, but his eight grandchildren were the love of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lilyann “Dolly”; three sons, Marty (Angie) Eagen, Matt Eagen and Sean Eagen (Hillary Palmateer); eight grandchildren, Noah, Connor, Carra, McKenna, Collin, Natalie, Mollie and Timmy; his mother, Norma Eagen; brothers, Jim and Brian (Debbie) Eagen, sisters, Colleen (Dave) Armstrong and Jane Eagen (Ed Ostwald), and brother, Tom Eagen; his mother-in-law, Lillian Mieksztyn; three brothers-in-law, Butch Mieksztyn, Stan (Carol) Mieksztyn, Jim (Micky) Mieksztyn; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Jim Elwood) and Lori and Mike Lozowski; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank W. Eagen, brother, Jeffrey, sister, Dana Eagen, father-in-law, Leonard Mieksztyn, and many aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Huron. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
Visiting will be 2-9 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Saturday in the church. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the family.
