Norma M. Eagen, 89, of Smiths Creek, died surrounded by her loving family Sunday, October 25, 2015.
She was born April 19, 1926 in Detroit to the late Herbert and Mae Hudie. She married Frank W. Eagen on July 23, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1977.
Norma was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, taking long walks and traveling. She was a very strong person who raised her family after the death of her husband, Frank who was the love of her life. Her family was the most important thing in her life.
She is survived by her sons, James F, Brian P. (Debbie), and Thomas J. Eagen; daughters, Colleen A. (David) Armstrong and Jane M. Eagen (Ed Ostwald); daughter-in-law, Dolly Eagen; grandchildren, Amanda, Mara, Milissa, Dan, Marty, Matt, Sean, Jason and Jessica; and several great-grandchildren; special niece, Mary Hartman; dear friends, Pearl Senyk and Cindy Eagen.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy H. and Jeffrey Eagen; daughter Dana Eagen; brother and sister-in-law, Donrae and Dorothy Hudie.
Visiting will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 a.m. Thursday in the church. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mass of Ressurection will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
Pallbearers will be Marty, Sean, Dan and Jason Eagen, Wayne Hartman and David Armstrong.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church.
