Richard D Radatz

Richard Dale “R.D.” Radatz, 64, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with his Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

He was born December 30, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Nancy and Robert Radatz II. He married Sharon L. Grambow on June 3, 1972 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Yale.

R.D. proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968-1972 and retired from Port Huron Building Supply in 2004.

He was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Sharon; children, Christy (Mike) Suiter, Hollie (Jon) Jahnke and Darin Radatz; grandchildren, Nick, Ally, Jared, Amelia and Madelyn “Peachy”; brother, Ron (Tina) Radatz; sisters, Charlene (Floyd) Bills and Raydene (Leonard) Mogan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Radatz III and infant brother, Raymond. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, in Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Aaron Duve will officiate.

Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
