Frank Joseph Scandalito, 82, of Fort Gratiot, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 1, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Annabelle Scandalito. He married Dolores Richert on April 17, 1952 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron.
Frank served in the United States Army and was a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955.
He was employed at Chrysler Corporation, St. Clair Rubber and Prestolite, where he was union president and retired in 1990 after 38 years.
Frank was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Elks Lodge BPOE #343, Willow Ridge Golf Course, Moose Lodge #158, Charles Hammond American Legion Post #8, and the YMCA, He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and loved his family very much.
He is survived by his wife Dolores; two daughters, Cathy (Randy) Wilkinson and Linda (Joel) Peattie; grandchildren, Kelley (Nick) Conard, Rob and Katey Wilkinson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and his sister, Catherine.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Huron. The Reverend George Askar will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military honors will be held under the auspices of the United States Army and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Randy Wilkinson, Joel Peattie, Rob Wilkinson, Nick Conard, Tom Osgood and Billy Scott.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the service time on Monday at the church.
