Mary Susan Hein-Vick, 81, of Smith Creek, died Monday, April 4, 2016 in her home.
She was born February 13, 1935 in Detroit to the late Frank and Easter Hein. She married Frank Vick Jr., he preceded her in death on November 7, 2001.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of St. Augustine High School in Richmond and attended the Port Huron Business School. She was employed with Port Huron Sulphate Paper Company for 12 years and for 30 years at Kimball Township.
She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and lifetime member of Daughters of Isabella. She loved to watch the boats on Lake Huron, and enjoyed camping and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Therese M. (John) Hildebrand and Kathleen M. (Michael) Thomas; seven grandchildren, Nichole, Chad, Shane, Kyle, Dakota, Athena and Korinne; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Rock, Annie Caughel and Eleanore (Steve) Vories, three brothers, Frank (Peggy) Hein and Joe (Carol) Hein, Leo (Mary) Hein; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
A Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Salvatore Palazzolo will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Daughters of Isabella or St. Stephen Catholic Church.
