Edward L Skotcher

Edward L. Skotcher, 61, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, April 8, 2016 in McLaren - Port Huron, following a short illness.

He was born May 21, 1954 in Detroit to the late Edward J. and Valeria Skotcher.

Edward was a 1972 graduate of East Detroit High School. He was employed with Chrysler Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of UAW Local 1700.

Mr. Skotcher enjoyed going to Swissel Inn and Lynch’s Irish Tavern, where he loved to listen to music. He also enjoyed hanging out under the Blue Water Bridge and reading books. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Joe (Tammy) Skotcher and Jason (Trina) Skotcher; daughter, Lisa Skotcher; grandchildren, Bo Devroy, Tanner, Tyson, Taelynn, Sawyer and Owen Skotcher; brother, Gerald Skotcher; sister, Valerie A. Skotcher; and best friend, Mary Duncan. He was preceded in death by his dog, Hunter.

A celebration of his life will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Lynch’s Irish Tavern.
