Christopher
M. Helmrich, 27, passed away with his sister at his side, Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Port Huron
Hospital following a lifelong fight with Cystic Fibrosis. He was
born October 28, 1981 in Port Huron.
Chris
began his working career at Belle Tire and Discount Tire. His most
recent job and greatest love was working with the cows at Reid's
Dairy Farm, earning him the nickname Farmer Chris.

on the edge. He was always willing to help people no matter how
poorly he felt. He was recently able to fulfill his lifelong dream
of going to Alaska but saddened that he did not come face to face
with a bear.
He
is survived by his mother, Wanda Helmrich; father, Michael (Twilla)
Helmrich; sister, Dawn Helmrich; nephew, Anthony Helmrich all of Port
Huron; special aunts, Ruth (Mark) Kennedy of Sarnia, ON and Sharon
Belisle of Toledo, OH; several aunts, uncles and cousins; best
friend, Bill Meeks and several little buddies.
Chris
was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert & Marion
(Avery) Hyde and William & Ruth (Hennessey) Helmrich.
