Dorothy P Campbell

Dorothy P. Campbell, 82, of Port Huron, died Monday, May 16, 2016.

She was born September 19, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Joseph L. and Margaret P. Lynch. She married Keith D. Campbell on March 10, 1951 in St. Edward on-the-Lake Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2011.

Dorothy was a graduate of St. Stephen High School and also received her L.P.N. license from St. Clair County Community College.

She was employed at Port Huron Hospital for many years, retiring in 1998. She was later employed with Dr. Rene Smit for many years and volunteered at Port Huron Hospital up until September 2015.

She loved to read, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by son, Michael J. (Carol) Campbell of Port Huron; son, Mark D. (Kelly) Campbell of Madison, WI; daughter, Elizabeth M. (Joe) Hunter of Port Huron; daughter Christine M. (Daniel) King of Greenwood Twp; son, Keith D. (Lisa) Campbell of Port Huron; grandchildren, Lisa, Michael II, Katherine, Karley, Shayne, Andrea, Joseph, Ryan, Alexander, Nicholas and Mazey; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Daniel, Michael III, Joey, Logan, Michaela, Olivia, David, Alexia, Kylie, Olivia, Addisyn, Ryleigh and Raegen; and two brothers, James Lynch and David (Lillian) Lynch. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Mark Lynch and a sister, Martha Smith.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A scripture service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Salvatore Palazzolo will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Dorothy’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
