Martin L Parker
Martin Lewis Parker, 75, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, May 20, 2016, in Lake Huron Medical Center, Port Huron.
He was born August 24, 1940 in Port Huron to the late William and Evelyn Parker. He married Brigid A. Bodley on April 20, 1963 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron.
Martin was a 1958 graduate of Port Huron High School. He attended and graduated from St. Clair County Community College, where he also taught as an adjunct for 5 years.
He was employed at Mueller Brass Company for 45 years, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of Port Huron Masonic Lodge #58, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3702 Port Huron and the Mueller Brass Proto Club, and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Brigid; son, Martin (Laura) Parker II; a daughter Stacie Parker; grandchildren, Marcus Parker, Corinna Parker and Brigid Parker-Hinojosa. He was preceded in death by his son Craig M. Parker and two sisters, Shirley Bates and Patricia McLane.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society and American Diabetes Association.
