V. Jean Cook
V. Jean. Cook, 91, of Port Huron Township, passed away in her home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
She was born October 16, 1924 in Petrolia, Ontario, to the late Franklin and Velma Kerr. She married Arthur E. Cook on October 12, 1946 in Port Huron, he died on April 27, 2016.
She retired as an executive secretary from the St. Clair County ISD.
Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen L. Hobden (significant other, George “Russ” Russell), and Ann E. (Lee) Mortimer; grandchildren, Kari (Jimmy) Joslin, Kay (Mike) Wesch, Samuel Ayotte, Jr. (Jen), Nathan Ayotte, Marlana Hobden (Greg); 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Arthur; son-in-law, Richard Hobden; and three siblings, Frances Sutton, Louise Stephenson and Don Kerr.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Deacon Linda Crane will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
