Marie D. Wollen, 86, of Port Huron

Township, died unexpectedly October 17, 2009 in her home.

She was born September 21, 1923 in

Port Huron to the late Andy and Diana Roy and was a lifelong

resident. She married Harold F. Wollen on June 28, 1941 in Port

Huron. He preceded her in death September 19, 1997.

Marie was a lunch supervisor at

Michigamme School for 20 years until her retirement in 1983. She was

a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother and was always there

for her family.

She is survived by her children,

Penney D. (Edward) Shank of Port Huron; H. Ronald (Cindy) Wollen of

China Township; Linda M. (Jack) Pettengill of Avoca and Denise R.

(Dean) Selby of Port Huron; a brother, Earl A. (Charmayne) Roy of

Milwaukee, WI; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Thompson of Sherman, TX; 9

grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12

Noon Thursday, October 22, 2009 in St. Stephen Church of Holy Trinity

Parish. The Rev. Fr. Brian K. Cokonougher, Pastor, will preside.

Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dave Zawacki, Mike Selby, Scott

Hayes, Tom Parmann, John Klinkman and John Otwell.

Visitation for Marie will be

Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home from 2:00

to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen

Church of Holy Trinity Parish.
