Dorothy Midgley

Dorothy B. Midgley, 96, of Port Huron, died Monday, October 24, 2016.

She was born November 14, 1919 in Healdton, OK to the late Robert & Lillian Watkins.

Dorothy was an avid golfer and was an honorary member of the Verona Hills Golf Club. She was active with the Council on Aging and loved to play cards.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Fox & Steve Bark; a son, Raymond (Connie) Hoxie; a daughter, Sharon (Craig) Busch; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Jack (Shirley) Watkins. She was preceded in death by husbands, Roy A. Midgley and Larry G. Hoxie; a son, Larry Hoxie; two brothers; two grandchildren and two step-children.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Burial will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Council on Aging Transportation.
