Frances "Eileen" Strilcov

June 29th, 1933 to November 1st, 2016

Frances Eileen Strilcov, 83, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

She was born June 29, 1933 in Port Huron to the late John and Blanche McLaren. She married Ralph G. Strilcov on August 7, 1954 in Marysville. He died December 28, 2015.

Mrs. Strilcov was an engineer with Michigan Bell for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Rolling Vikings Camping Club and The Pioneers Retirement Club. She was a den mother for Cub Scouts and enjoyed bowling at Viking Lanes. She loved to spend time with her family, cook, collect cookbooks and crochet.

She is survived by two children, Ronald (Kelly) Strilcov and Lori (Dennis) Quandt; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff) Nofs, Dan Marshall, Jeremy (Debra Jo) Marshall, Emily Quandt, Nicole Quandt, Mike Quandt and Matt Quandt; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Faber, Janet (Duane) Glady and Sandy (Tom) Moses; a sister-in-law, Karen McClaren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol McLaren; two brothers, Frank McClaren and Robert Maes; and a brother-in-law, Robert Faber.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Tino of Peace Lutheran Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Dan and Jeremy Marshall, Mike and Matt Quandt, Jeff Nofs and Blake Letzgus.
