John C Cosgrove
John Chester Cosgrove, 70, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
He was born June 29, 1946 in Port Huron.
John was a graduate of Marysville High School and Michigan State University, where he earned a degree in horticulture and marketing. He was a teacher at St. Christopher Catholic School and also worked in management at Huron St. Clair Manufacturing.
Mr. Cosgrove was an active member of the Republican Party with his longtime friend, the late Jerry Frendt. He was extremely happy to witness Donald J. Trump become President of the United States and he wore his “Make America Great Again” hat proudly. He was a lifelong Spartan fan.
He is survived by his two sons, Ian B. Cosgrove and Justin G. Cosgrove; granddaughter, Cameron Jo Cosgrove; his siblings, Lynn (Danny) Bauer, Diane Bissland, Leslie (Todd) Wright, Nancy (Mark) Bliss, Michele Gwizdala and Scott (Nancy) Asman; many nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Steve Kearns. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Jo Beverly Cosgrove; his mother, Doris (Clarence) Asman; his father, J. Chester Cosgrove; his brother, Norman “Bud” Cosgrove; and his nephew, PFC Jason Wright.
Cremation has taken place.
