Margaret K Schock
Margaret K. Schock, 88, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
She was born August 7, 1928 in Harbor Beach to the late George and Carolina Lautner, and has lived in Port Huron since 1951. She married Floyd L. Schock on June 26, 1948 in Ruth. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2003.
Margaret was a 1946 graduate of Our Lady of Lake Huron High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was very active, serving as Sacristan, for over 30 years. She was a member of the League of Catholic Women and the Christian Mother Society.
She enjoyed playing Bridge and other card games, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her son, Donald (Mary) Schock; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Schock; four granddaughters, Andrea (Rob) Emigh, Jessica (Dave) Fye, Alison (Dustin) Mineau and Beth (John) Chase; five great-grandchildren, Brody Fye, Emma Mineau, Brooklynn Emigh, Khloe Fye and Ruth Mineau; sister, Doris Deo; brother, Clarence (Dorothy) Lautner; and brother-in-law, Vern Schock. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard M. Schock; brother and sister-in-law, Roman and Myrtle Lautner; brothers-in-law, Ross Deo and Melvin and Gladys Schock; and sister-in-law, Margaret Schock.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with a scripture service at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Schock will lie in state at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 12 noon until the time of Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. The Reverend Salvatore Palazzolo will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
