Paula Flynn Godwin
Paula Flynn Godwin, 52, of Port Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 after a battle with cancer.
She was born March 26, 1965 in Lea Preston, United Kingdom to Doreen and the late Lawrence Flynn. She married James P. Godwin on December 28, 1991 at the Newman Center, Port Huron.
Paula was a beautician at Chameleon Salon before her children were born. At that point, her focus became raising and nurturing her children but she also became the chief kitchen designer and President of Godwin Enterprises and Huron Cabinet Center. Most recently, Paula worked in chapter development for Women’s Life Insurance Society. Her passions in life, other than her family, were volunteering with Women’s Life and Hunter Hospitality House. She had a kind heart, was a phenomenal mother, and loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, James Godwin; three children, Patrick Burgess (Andrea Michelle) Godwin, Abigail Lynne Godwin, and Madeline Paige Godwin; her mother, Doreen Flynn; two sisters, Gillian Flynn (Peter Butrite) and Alison Flynn; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other special family and friends.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Simeon Iber will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Hunter Hospitality House.
