Richard J Pauly
Richard John “Dick” Pauly, 69, of Pigeon, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
He was born January 25, 1949 in St. Clair to the late Lloyd and Laura Pauly. He married Karen Ann Beauchamp on August 4, 1972 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2017.
Dick was a graduate of St. Clair High School and Central Michigan University.
He was employed for over 35 years at the Elkton-Pigeon-Bayport School Distict as a teacher, principal, athletic director and tennis coach. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and family.
He is survived by his two children, Matt Pauly and Rebecca A. (Eric) Biedermann; his two granddaughters, Elaina M. and Olivia A. Biedermann; his sister, Patricia Pauly; his mother-in-law, Joan M. Beauchamp; his two brothers-in-law, David (Norma) Beauchamp and Daniel (Jill) Beauchamp; his three sisters-in-law, Laura (Don) Mallory, Jan (Michael) Rogensues and Mary (Jeff) Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Beauchamp.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 in St. Mary Catholic Church with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Forgotten Harvest, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project.
