Pauline H Peacock
Pauline Helen Peacock, 88, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018.
She was born January 27, 1930 in Port Huron, to the late John and Mary Holmes Sr. She married John A. “Jack” Peacock on November 12, 1955 in St. Stephen Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2008.
Pauline was a lifelong resident of Port Huron and graduated from Port Huron High School. She was employed with Raetzel Shoe Store for many years until its closure in 2000. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She was active in sports and was an avid bowler in her younger years. She loved her family and was the hostess for many family holiday gatherings and enjoyed playing the family heirloom piano. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Kathryn (Joseph) Cowles, Susan (Hank) Neumann and Paul (Tracy) Peacock; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bailey, Michael Cowles, Natalie May, Heather and Alexis Peacock. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael John Peacock; seven brothers, Bernard, Andrew, John Jr., Joseph, Theodore, Stanley and Walter Holmes.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Peacock will lie in state at St. Edward on-the-Lake Catholic Church on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.
The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Peacock, Joe Cowles, Michael Cowles, Jim Allen, Richard Castillo and Bill Holmes.
Memorials may be made to Blue Water Area Humane Society or St. Edward on-the-Lake Catholic Church.
Pauline’s family would like to thank the staff of Tomlinson’s Adult Foster Care Home for the wonderful care she received during her stay there.
