Esther Ledesma

Esther Ledesma, 85, of Port Huron, died Sunday, April 29, 2018.

She was born October 28, 1932 in Port Huron to the late Juan and Manule Diaz. She married Pio Ledesma in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1979.

Esther was a homemaker for most of her life and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed walking and shopping.

She is survived by her nine children, Rosendo Coronado, Reuben Coronado, Steve (Leslie) Coronado, Vivian Coronado, Ruth Havens, Vince (Tina) Ledesma, Pat (Fred) Thornton, Daniel (Melanie) Ledesma, and Rosemary (Pete) Martindale; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Janie Almendarez, Theresa (Joe) Gonzales and John (Nancy) Diaz. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Coronado; her son-in-law, Duane Havens; her sister, Ruth Chavez; and three brothers, Lupe Diaz, Angeles Diaz and Jessie Diaz.

Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.in the funeral home.

Mrs. Ledesma will lie in state at Holy Trinity Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family.
