Elizabeth A Giles

Elizabeth Ann Giles, 88, of Lakeport, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

She was born May 2, 1930 in Detroit to the late Herman and Ila Kolar. She married Robert W. Giles on December 30, 1950 in Detroit.

Elizabeth had a love for boating and the water and had a great love for her children and grandchildren. She was a great shopper and photo scrap booker. She loved to read and enjoyed flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Giles; her four children, Linda (David) Shea, Mike Giles, David (Susan) Giles and Nancy Sherman; her six grandchildren, Christina (Mike) Ventimiglia, Gabrielle (Deniz) Hinz, Alyssa Giles, Elizabeth Shea, Katy Shea, Ron (Randi) Trombetti, Andreana Trombetti; and three great-grandchilden, Salvatore, Piera, and Sofia Ventimiglia

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mrs. Giles will lie in state at St. Edward on-the-Lake Catholic Church on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12 p.m. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Burtchville Township Cemetery.
