Frank L. Ropposch

Frank L. Ropposch, 89, of Port Huron died Saturday, October 16, 2010 in his home following a short illness. His love, support and strength will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

He was born February 7, 1921 in Austria and has lived here all his life.

He married Edwinna Mullen on January 17, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Frank was a graduate of St. Stephen High school and co-founder of Ropposch Brothers Floor Covering. He served in the United States Air Force during W.W.II and enjoyed golfing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Edwinna Ropposch of Port Huron; daughter, Jean Ropposch of Dearborn; son, Frank E. Ropposch of Port Huron; son, Jeff (Teresa) Ropposch of Fort Gratiot; daughter, Lois (Rick) DeNardin of Marysville; daughter Jane (David) Dusellier of Marysville; daughter, Ann Ropposch of Port Huron; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dennis) Gellasch, Katie (Jeff) Genaw, Stefanie DeNardin, Nicole Ropposch, Christopher Ropposch, Luke Dusellier and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Ropposch of Port Sanilac; sister, Josephine Byrne of Mansfield, OH and brother, James (Marge) Ropposch of Port Huron.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Karolina (Zotter) Ropposch and sister, Marie Fleming.

Memorial Mass will be 10 am Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Inurnment of cremains will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
