Ruth M Brueckman

Ruth Mildred Brueckman, 92, of Fort Gratiot, died Saturday, September 1, 2018.

She was born May 27, 1926 in Detroit to the late Henry and Marie Schmidt. She married Robert G. Brueckman in Roseville, MI in 1946. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1995.

Ruth was a member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing and bowling. She was very outgoing and loved her family very much.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Alyce) Brueckman, Judy (Steve) Smith, Doug (Teresa) Brueckman, Mike Brueckman and Bob (Angel) Brueckman; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Brueckman. She was preceded in death by her sons, Thomas and Lawrence Brueckman.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.

Ruth will lie in state from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica Catholic Church, 2100 Twelve Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI. The Rite of Christian Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
