Angelita Ruiz
Angelita Linda Ruiz, 91, of Port Huron, passed away in her home under hospice care on Monday, October 22, 2018.
She was born November 6, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Desiderio and Petra Raygosa. She married Domingo H. Ruiz on October 18, 1947 in Caro, Michigan. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2013.
Angelita was a homemaker and also managed the St. Vincent de Paul Store for over ten years. She was proud to be one of the founding members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission in Port Huron.
She is survived by her children, Domingo “Rico” (Jerie) Ruiz, David (Pamela) Ruiz and Debra (William) Budinger; grandchildren, Joseph (Carrie) Ruiz, Matthew (Allison) Ruiz, Sarah (Dustin) Youngs, Regina (Josh) Pearson, Elizabeth (John) Szambelan, Annette (Nick) Coletti and William M. Budinger; 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Angelita was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. The Reverend Joseph A. Gagnon will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Allied Veterans Cemetery, Port Huron.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
