Stephen F. Armstrong

Stephen F. Armstrong, 68, of Lakeport, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a short illness.
He was born September 13, 1942 in Port Huron and has been a life long area resident.
He married Jacquelyn Bulkavic on September 28, 1963 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Stephen was a 1961 graduate of St. Stephen High School. He was a 4 th degree Knights of Columbus and member of Council #521 since 1968. He was a member of St. Edward On-The-Lake Catholic Church. He owned and operated the Peanut House Bar for 13 years and later on owned Armstrong's Lakeport Resort.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Armstrong of Lakeport; son, Jac (Sharon) Armstrong of Burtchville Twp; daughter, Stephanie (Joe) Helton of Fort Gratiot; daughter, Diana (George) Hubble of Fort Gratiot; grandchildren, Megan, Gabrielle, Erin, Hannah, Lindsey, Zachary, Julia and Olivia; brother, James Armstrong of Port Huron; brother, Leo (Linda) Armstrong of St. Louis, MO; brother, Robert (Carol) Armstrong of Naples, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Camilla Armstrong and brother Jack Armstrong.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10am Wednesday in St. Edward On-The-Lake Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph M. Esper will officiate.
Visiting hours are 5-8 pm Monday, 2-4 & 7-9pm Tuesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9 am Wednesday at the church. Rosary 7:30 pm Tuesday evening.
Memorials may be given in memory of Stephen to Sacred Heart Seminary.
