David A Lynch
David Anthony Lynch, 77, of North Street, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
He was born March 18, 1941 in Smiths Creek to the late Joseph and Margaret Lynch. He married Lillian R. Regan on May 2, 1964 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale.
David was a 1959 graduate of St. Stephen High School. He was employed at the Port Huron Paper Company and later worked for Detroit Edison as a pipefitter, retiring after 20 years of service.
David loved working around the house. He enjoyed reading, especially stories about World War II and had an insatiable desire to learn. He enjoyed traveling and wintering in Arizona. He was quick witted, had a great sense of humor and would do anything to help anyone. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Lynch; his three children, Maureen Lynch-Romzek, David (Shelly) Lynch Jr., and Brian (Kasia) Lynch; seven grandchildren, Nolan, Matthew, Anthony, Joey and Rachel Romzek, David and Megan Lynch; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Ryder; his brother, Jim Lynch; brother-in-law, George (Linda) Regan; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Daniel and Mark Lynch, Dorothy Campbell, Martha Smith, and Edward and Edmund Lynch.
Visitation will be 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Mr. Lynch will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yale, 10 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.
The Rite of Christian burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yale. Mr. Lynch’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
