Barbara Stimpson

Barbara J. Stimpson, 68, of Fort Gratiot Township, died Friday, January 4, 2019.

She was born December 23, 1950 in Ingersol, Ontario to the late Charles and Helen Long She married Clinton F. Stimpson III on May 30, 1997 in Lakeshore Presbyterian Church.

Barbara was a graduate of Cros-Lex High School. She attended St. Clair County Community College and Oakland University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She was the president of Conveyor Components Company in Croswell. She loved dogs, riding horses and going for walks.

She is survived by her husband, Clinton F. Stimpson III; three children, Reginald P. (Megan) Brown IV, Marguerite R. Stimpson (Gerardo Rodriguez) and Robert (Danielle) Stimpson; seven grandchildren, Sierra Brown, Owen, Josh, Vivian, Lilly, Henry and Robbie Stimpson; two sisters, Carol Drellick and Jacqueline (Richard) Bolman; two brothers, Terrance (Sharon) Long and Thomas C. Long; several nieces and nephews; her two Collies, Abby and McTavish; and three horses.

Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Bill Davis will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society or Community Foundation of St. Clair County.
