Dominic A. Cocco Sr

Port Huron- Dominic A. Cocco, Sr. age 79 of Port Huron died Monday, December 13, 2010 in Marwood Nursing & Rehab following a long illness.

He was born January 18, 1931 in Port Huron and has been a life long area resident.

He married Roselyn M. Edwards. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2005.

Dominic was a graduate of St. Stephen High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1953. He drove truck for his dad at Port Huron fruit House, worked at the Zebra Bar with his brother Ernie for over 40 years and most recently was a greeter Sam's Club. He enjoyed bowling and gardening.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracey P. (Edward) Jacobs of Port Huron; son, Dominic A. Cocco, Jr of Port Huron; son, Ernie M. Cocco of Port Huron; grandchildren, Morgan and Dylan Jacobs, Dominic Cocco, Christopher and Clarissa; in-laws, Alice (George) Keener, Patricia Hammond and Patti Holbrook.

He was preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Isabella Cocco; brothers, Ernest E. Cocco and Aldo Cocco; sisters, Carmella Clink and Helen Smith.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Tracie Loffhagen, Pastor of All Saints Episcopal Church, Marysville will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 5-9 pm Wednesday and 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or All Saints Episcopal Church, Marysville.
