Robert Hollweg

Robert Ernest Hollweg, 98, of Armada, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019.

He was born November 7, 1920 in Detroit to the late Herbert and Grace Hollweg.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Armada. During his lifetime he was involved in many civic, church and fraternal organizations. He was the founder and former owner of the Armada Grain Company.

He enjoyed traveling the world with trips to Europe, Australia, Asia, the Caribbean, throughout the United States and Canada

He is survived by his children, Mrs. Pamela Goldberger, Dr. Kurt (Lynne) Hollweg, Lance (Kelian) Hollweg; his caring friend, Gina Hollweg; grandchildren, Rachel (Shawn), Aaron (Jill), Abby (Fran), Elena (Charlie), Alexa (Kevin), Dr. Johanna (John), Katelyn, Landon and Scott; great-grandchildren, Noah, Jenna, Nate, Charlotte, Adam, Katie, Lanagan, Cooper, Isabel and William. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Isabel Carter Hollweg; companion, Peggy Spencer; sister, Adele; brother, William “Bill”; and son-in-law, Dr. Robert Goldberger.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ, Armada.
