Robert B. Mancini
Robert Benedict Mancini, 88, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Consulate Health Care in Vero Beach, Florida.
He was born February 2, 1930 in Detroit to the late Federico and Rose Mancini. After his father’s death, Robert was raised by his mother and Giovanni Valente. He married Janis F. Lashbrook in 1967.
Robert was a 1947 graduate of Cass Technical School, Detroit, and served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. He was employed as an Environmental Engineer at Mueller Brass Company and prior to his retirement, he worked 5 years at Chrysler Corporation.
He is survived by wife, Janis F. Mancini; his three children, Anthony (Lynn) Mancini, Dean Mancini and Gina (Adam) Davis; five grandchildren, Katie and Allie Mancini and Laura, Ahna and Nate Davis; his brother, Joe (Jo) Mancini; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Gene (Louise) Mancini; and his sister, Antoinette Mancini.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
