Port Huron Anna C. McIntyre, 92, died Friday, January 28, 2011 in her home.
She was born July 3, 1918 in Port Huron. She married Angus A. McIntyre on June 30, 1938 in St. Joseph Church. He died July 4, 1999.
Mrs. McIntyre was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devout Catholic. She loved baking, crocheting, polka music, square dancing, horse racing and playing her organ. She is sadly missed but happy at home with the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Mary M. (Charles) Sweet, Janet E. Howe, Robert M. (Teri S. ) McIntyre and Ann M. McIntyre; 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Stephanie Rock and Theresa Weiss; sisters-in-law, Irene Bauer and Jenny Bauer.
She was also preceded in death by her children, Nancy A. McIntyre and Angus A. McIntyre, Jr; sisters, Mary Pockett, Mollie Gage and Clara Heimbach; brothers, Michael, Louis, John, Joseph, Charles and Frank Bauer; parents, Michael and Amelia Bauer.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephens Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to St. Stephens Church.
