Wanda Louise Curtis

Clyde Wanda Louise Curtis, 87, went to be with the Lord on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, in Port Huron Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born May 6, 1924 in Port Huron to the late Allen and Gladys McLane. She married Norman L. Curtis on September 30, 1941. He died May 13, 1989.
Mrs. Curtis ran an Adult Foster Care for 23 years. She was a member of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a deep love for family and enjoyed having children around her
She is survived by her daughters, Constance (John) DeBell, Deborah (Larry) Scheffler and Michelle (Chase) Miller; grandchildren, Christina Kercher, James (Marnie) DeBell, Jennifer (Joseph) Milett, Heidi (Kirk) Slossar, Holly (Nicholas) Blais, Nichole (David) Shamblin and Chentel (Douglas) Lasky; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Lyle McLane; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Arnold and Lowel McLane.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Elders David Teeple and Ron Giles will officiate. Burial will follow in Kinney Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James DeBell, Andrew and Evan Kercher, Joseph Milett, Nicholas and Kody Blais, Douglas Lasky and Brendan Slossar. David Shamblin will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made made to the Church.
