Rosemarie E. Horan, 86, of Port Huron, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born November 5, 1933 in Minden City to the late Stanley and Mabel Fisher. She married Robert W. Horan on February 27, 1954 in Parisville, Michigan. He died March 1, 2011. Mrs. Horan was a graduate of Ubly High School. She worked as a senior advocate for the Council on Aging and the EOC in St. Clair County, a Girl Scout leader for many years, and was an active volunteer for the Port Huron Area Schools. Rosemarie was a master at genealogy and loved sharing her research with family and friends. She loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In the eyes of her children: Mom was an amazing person who loved us with all her heart. She was our image of strength and instilled in us strong family values, work ethics, and compassion to all. Her ability to handle any situation presented to her in life, has given us the confidence to do the same. We are a reflection of her. She will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by seven children, Deborah J. (Mark) Zimmer, Louann (Tom) Jobbitt, Roberta Duncan, Michael (Vickie Albert) Horan, Julie (Brad) Ramsey, Margaret (Paul) Maheu and David (Mary Jane) Horan; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Melvin (Carol) Fisher; a sister, Suzanne Kroetsch; three sisters-in-law, Vera LaMarsh, Betty Jo Horan and Kathryn Horan; and several nieces and nephews. Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 crisis, visitation will be held privately for her immediate family. Public graveside services will take place at 12 Noon on Monday, April 13, 2020 at St. Patrick Cemetery, Palms. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
