William Ordowski
May 8th, 1923 to July 16th, 2011
William F. Ordowski, 88, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born May 8, 1923 in Port Huron, the son of the late Florence A. (Knisley) and William J. Ordowski.
He married Karen (Schultz) Lozen on January 22, 1988. Bill was employed at Detroit Edison for 36 years. After his retirement in 1979, he established Ordowski Electric and worked as an electrical contractor for 15 years. Bill was an avid phonograph record collector. He enjoyed billiards, bowling and had a passion for antique cars. He found happiness and companionship from the many family pets through the years and will be missed by his beloved cat Puddy.
He is survived by his wife Karen, sister Mary Louise Mainguy, daughters Wilma M. Goodwin, JoAnn (Peter) Weiss Jr., Karen S. (Gary) Shamaly, Debra L. (Gary) Brackenbury, grandchildren Angela J. Weiss, Michelle A. (Chris) Brown, Franchesca L. (Richard) Weichsler, Peter A. Weiss III and fiancee (Traci Doan), William F. (Billie Jeanne) Weiss Sr., 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and 1 niece Sharon L. Mainguy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John (Jackie) D., former wives Suzanne M. Cutcher and Wilma M. Schwitzke, brother-in-law Peter F. Mainguy and son-in-law William J. Goodwin.
Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19 at St. Edward on-the-Lake Church, Lakeport with 9:30 a.m. visiting. Father Joseph Esper will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt Hope Catholic Cemetery, Port Huron.
Pallbearers: Peter A. Weiss Jr., Peter A. Weiss III, William F. Weiss Sr., William F. Weiss Jr., Zachary M. Weiss, and Richard Weichsler Jr.
