Marion Elizabeth (McIntyre) (Maynard) McLane
Marion Elizabeth (McIntyre) (Maynard) McLane, 94, of Jeddo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Jeddo at the Water Wheel Alternative Living home.
Marion was born January 12, 1926 in North Street, Michigan to the late John Frederick “Fred “and Gladys Mae McIntyre. Marion grew up on her family's farm in North Street and always remained a farm girl at heart.
She married William Henry Maynard on 5/24/1947 in North Street, Michigan. Marion married George Frederick McLane on 3/19/1976 in Port Huron, Michigan.
Marion worked for Citizens Federal Savings as an escrow clerk. She retired in 1988 after 33 years of service. Her greatest source of happiness was her life as a devoted parent and grandparent. She also enjoyed family and friends, attending church, the Eastern Star, cooking, traveling, and caring for her cats.
She is survived by her four Stepchildren, Donald McLane - Jeddo, Steven McLane (Pam) - Jeddo, LeeAnn McLane-Goetz (Richard) - Washington, and Julia (McLane) Reneker (Dr. Robert) - Grandville; six grandchildren, Robert Reneker III, Rebecca Reneker, Kathryn Reneker, Roxann McLane, Tucker McLane, and Bailey McLane; six nieces and nephews, Mike Graham, Janet (Graham) Abou Ganim, Charles Robert Ernest, Christine (Ernest) Swartz, Deborah (Ernest) Stringer, Kimberly (Ernest) Roegner; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Dorland, Helen Badgerow, Sylvia Erbe, Darlene Cumper, and Winnifred Davis; and brothers-in-law, Robert Hendry, Robert Ernest, and Elwin John Graham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gladys; her sisters, Edna Ruth (McIntyre) Ernest and Martha Jean (McIntyre) Graham; and her husbands, William Henry Maynard and George Frederick McLane.
The family would like to thank the Water Wheel Alternative Living home for their loving compassionate care.
Marion's family would very much appreciate the opportunity to gather with family and friends during this time. However, because of current restrictions, a private service will be held. Family and friends are welcome to attend the interment ceremony at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Kinney Cemetery, Wadhams, Michigan at a safe social distance. Cleo Barrett officiating.
A celebration of life will be conducted tentatively at the Community of Christ Church -Wadhams Grove Branch, Kimball, Michigan at a future date.
Memorial gifts in Marion’s name can be made to Grant Township Fire Department, Jeddo, Michigan, Blue Water Area Humane Society or the Community of Christ Church, Wadhams Grove Branch, Kimball, Michigan.
