Port Huron Mary E. Falk, 96, of Port Huron died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Jackson, MI of natural causes.
She was born October 2, 1914 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Ignatius and Anna (Renger) Burucs. She married Alexander Falk on November 4, 1939 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1979.
Mary retired from A&P Foods and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved gardening, especially her flowers. She received an accommodation from the city of Port Huron for her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughter Anne Young of Munith, MI, son Daniel A. Falk of Waukesha, WI, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Stephen and Joseph Burucs, and sisters Margaret Beauchamp, Elizabeth Fisher and son-in-law Brandt Young.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Philippe Thibodeau will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 4 and 7 9 pm Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 am till the time of service on Friday at the church.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
