Shirley A. Walker, 71, of Port Huron went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2011 in her home.
She was born November 3, 1939 in Port Huron. She married William R. Walker on September 15, 1955 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2008.
Shirley worked at various places including Prestolite, Town Bar, Birch Creek Orchards and Riverside Metals.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, arranging flowers and spending time with her Grandchildren. She also loved her dog.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Pamela Walker and Penny (Dave) Jacobs, both of Port Huron; sons William (Tamberly) Walker, Jr. of Baldwin, MI and Robert (Nancy) Walker of Clinton Twp., MI; her grandchildren Omer “Zak” Altaf, Bobbie Jacobs, Alisha Jacobs, William Walker III, Amanda (James) Atkins, Jamie Cluck, Kimberley Cluck, David Cluck, Andrew Walker and her six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosella Desmarais and brother, Leroy Kimball.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Gratiot Park United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert Chapman will officiate.
Visiting will be from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Memorials in Shirley's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
