Lois E. Atkins, 69, of Port Huron died July 30, 2011 following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 13, 1941 in Marlette, MI to the late Neil and Roberta Woods. She was employed at Port Huron Hospital.
Lois is survived by her sons Gar (Kelly) Atkins of Washington Twp., Christopher Atkins of Port Huron; granddaughters Zoe and Alex Atkins of Washington Twp.; brother Art (Barb) Woods of Marlette; sisters Carol (Larry) Klink of Fort Gratiot, Mary Woods (Glenn Keilman) of Frisco, TX, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Whetstone of Colonial Woods Missionary Church will officiate.
Visiting will be from 10 am – 12 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorials for Lois may me made to the Port Huron Hospital Foundation.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Port Huron Hospital for their care and support during this difficult time.
