Robert G. Johnson, 82, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Port Huron Hospital.
He was born November 13, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Robert married the former Marlene M. Mrozak on June 22, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired at the age of 55 from U.S. Customs. He loved gardening and operated his greenhouse for 20 plus years. He was very active in many ways at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marlene M. Johnson of Port Huron Township; son, Denis R. (Keo) Johnson of Belle Plaine, MN; daughter, Debra L. (Paul) Smith of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Cheryl A. (Brady) Kramer of Santa Ana, CA; daughter, Janine A. (Michael) Helton of St. Charles, MO; son, David A. (Trish) Johnson of Chandlersville, OH; daughter, Lisa M. (Daniel) Johnston of Kimball; and son, Eric A. (Sandra) Johnson of Port Huron; grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Noelle, Tod, Brett, Taylor, Anson, Evan, Leanna, Rebecca, Sabrina, Kendra, Parker; and sister, Marilyn (Walter) Mondloch of Mukwonago, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
