Irene Y Kotelman
Irene Yvonne Kotelman, 84, of Port Huron, died Monday, November 9, 2020.
She was born January 22, 1936 in Jeddo to the late Robert and Mamie Lee. She married Harry Kotelman on October 23, 1954 in Jeddo. He preceeded her in death on April 4, 1991.
Irene lived around Fargo, Avoca and Jeddo most of her life. She moved to Fort Gratiot in 1996 to the Heritage Grove Apartments. She enjoyed playing euchre and pinochle, going on trips to the Council on Aging, Town Hall and doing Body Recall. Irene enjoyed making afghans and pillow covers, but especially enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of the Four Square Sportsman’s Club with her husband Harry for many years. “She hit what she aimed at”.
Her parents were proud of her because she was the only one of five children to graduate high school. She graduated from Yale High School in 1954. Most of all she was proud to be a cancer survivor for many years.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Kathleen) Kotelman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Donald (Clarabell) Lee and Loren (Norma) Lee; two sisters, Donna (Richard) Priehs and Dorothy (Sam) Holsworth; nephews, Donald Priehs, Douglas (Aletha) Priehs and Robert S. Lee; brother-in-law, Carl (Nell) Kotelman.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Inurnment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Fargo.
