Francis M "Frank" Peters

Francis Merle “Frank” Peters, 85, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

He was born September 23, 1935 in Port Huron to the late Adolph and Marcella Peters. He married Nancy Ann Truscott on July 28, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She died July 15, 2017.

Frank was employed at Blake and Son Glass Company for many years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He loved his cars, especially participating in classic car shows. He enjoyed golfing, softball and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Sue (Greg) Hudy, Deb (Wes) Boyne, Steve (Tammy) Peters and Marcy (Bill) Johnson; eight grandchildren, Dan Hudy, Maryanne Hudy, Tony (Anna) Whybrew, Carrie Kerswell, Courtney Peters (Jeremy Dove), Matt (Sarah) Peters, Rachel (Jeff) McCulley and Josh (Katie) Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene (Helen) Peters and Jerry (Alice) Peters; brother-in-law, Gordon Hayes; many nieces and nephews; and longtime companion Sammy, the chihuahua. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Peters; and sister, Irene Hayes.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Tony, Austin, Aiden, Matthew, Dan and Lucas.
