Dr. Robert W Lohr
Dr. Robert W. Lohr, 88, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2021 after a short illness.
He was born May 10, 1932 in Fargo and lived in Port Huron. He married Eileen Marguerite Oswald on April 23,1955.
Robert served in the Korean War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a Doctor of Chiropractic in Port Huron for 58 years and served as District President of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors. Dr. Lohr was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Port Huron and St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church, Lakeport. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid handball player into his 60’s. He especially loved to travel with his family and visited almost every state in the U.S. and much of Canada.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen Marguerite Lohr; cherished father of seven children and three in-laws; Lela (Mitchell) Wyzgowski, Jeannine Lohr, Connie (Jeff) Michaels, Robert (Debra) Lohr II; Dr. Richard Lohr, Dr. Douglas Lohr and Suellen Lohr; 18 dear grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and a dear sister, Sharleen (Daniel) Tycho.
A beautiful Funeral Mass was held at St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. The Reverend Lee Acervo officiated.
Burial was held in Mt. Hope Cemetery and military honors were conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
