Thomas Roland Conlan, 97, of Port Huron, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Blue Water Hospice Home with his family by his side.

He was born October 6, 1926 in Jeddo, Michigan to the late Rollo and Blanche Conlan. He married Marjorie Lewandowski on June 23, 1951 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2013.

Thomas was a hardworking and loving husband, father and grandfather. He grew up working the family farm and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed with Mueller Brass and Domtar, retiring at the age of 65.

He loved hunting, fishing, reading, cooking, exercising and watching western movies. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions, cutting the grass and chewing tobacco.

Thomas is survived by five children, Cynthia Bayes, Thomas Conlan (fiancée Cindy), Timothy (Sandy) Conlan, Carol (Craig) Moue and Marjorie (Brian) Lightle; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Alger Conlan, Barbara Buzga, Rose Prevost and Betty Kelly; son-in-law, Terrance Bayes; daughter-in-law, Luanne Conlan; and grandchildren, Erin Conlan and April Moue.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 12.
