Gary J Gouin Sr

Gary John Gouin Sr., 69, of Jeddo, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with COPD, Thursday, April 15, 2021.

He was born April 11, 1952 in Port Huron to the late Chester and Gladys Gouin. He married Ann Campbell on February 10, 1973 in Port Huron.

Gary had a talent for plumbing, spending over 35 years doing what he loved. He enjoyed hunting at the Swanson’s with Larry and Amy at his side, spending time with his sons sharing his knowledge with them, being with his grandkids, visiting the family farm in Cheboygan and watching Gunsmoke.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann; children, Gary (Nichole) Gouin Jr., Greg (Tara) Gouin and Amy (Mike) Koehn;10 grandchildren; brothers, Chet (Theresa), Don (Margaret) and Pat (Sharrie) Gouin; and sisters, Mary Gouin and Cathy Weir. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Gouin; and best friend, Larry Scheffler.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Father Lee Acervo will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
