Sharon Flanigan-Walker

February 21st, 1960 to April 24th, 2021

Sharon G. Flanigan-Walker, 61, of Port Huron, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 after a battle with covid pneumonia.

She was born February 21, 1960 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Ronald and Margaret Flanigan. She graduated from Port Huron Northern in 1978. She worked for the Port Huron Area School District up until her retirement in March of 2020. She spent the last year retired and trying her hand at new craft projects. She loved crafting and had quite the artistic side. Sharon loved hockey, she especially loved watching her grandchildren and nephews play.

Sharon is survived by her four children, David (Lindsey) Fye, Matthew (Jennifer) Fye, Craig (Alexa) Walker and Kristina Walker. Sharon was the Bean or Beanie, as her grandchildren called her, to her seven grandchildren, Ethan, Keegan, Brody, Aarilyn, Khloe, Eva and Adalynn. Sharon was the sister to Laura (Dan) Eastwood, Ron (Jodi) Flanigan, and Maureen (John) Salayko. She is survived by her two nieces and three nephews, a great niece, a great nephew, a great niece on the way, several cousins, and an aunt.

Sharon was preceded in death by her late husband Craig Walker; her father, Ronald Flanigan; her mother, Margaret Flanigan; and several other family members.

Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others.

Private family services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home followed by a public graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in Burtchville Cemetery. Pastor Phil Whetstone will officiate.
