Arik Maul
Arik James Maul, 16, of Clyde passed away on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021.
He was born August 24th, 2004 in St. Clair, Michigan, to Nicholas and Sarah Maul.
Arik's life was full of music and laughter! Piano was his passion, and he filled his family's home with such beautiful music on a daily basis. He was a fun big brother, always teasing and joking with his little sisters. He enjoyed hunting with his dad, chatting with his mom, playing games and watching movies with his grandparents, and laughing with his cousins and friends. He was a talented artist who often gifted his drawings to family and was a deep thinker who could always come up with the questions that others hadn't considered. He had a sharp memory and frequently quoted random facts and details from history to whomever would listen. Arik was always one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave, helping to set up and clean up at events whenever he could. His family and friends are heartbroken at the great loss of this amazing young man.
He is survived by his parents, Nicholas & Sarah Maul; little sisters, Ava and Aliza Maul; grandparents, William and Darlene Hilts, David and Jody Maul, and Tilea and Randolph Doctor; uncle Doug and aunt Cindy Hilts; aunt, Jamie McHale; aunt, Miranda Doctor; special cousins and friends, Bryson Maul and Gabbie McHale; good friend, Noah Green; lifelong friends, the Jamison and Smafield families; beloved piano teacher, Mrs. Linda Marsh; and many much-loved cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Kenneth & Patricia Rhadigan.
Visitation was held on May 20th & 21st, 2021, at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home in Port Huron. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 29th, 2021, at Grant Township Park in Jeddo, Michigan.
Arik was cremated and a memorial garden will be planted in his honor at his family home in August.
Memorials may be made to the Maul family.
