Dennis Richard Fleury, 82, of Port Huron, died Friday, May 14, 2021.
He was born February 15, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Wilbert and Hilda Fleury. He married Beverly J. Black on April 26, 1975 in Port Huron.
Dennis was a 1957 graduate of St. Stephen High School. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. He was employed at Chrysler Corporation in Marysville for 30 years before his retirement and was a member of UAW Local #375. He coached Port Huron Little League for nearly 20 years and was a member of St Stephen Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling and loved his family dearly, including the many children he and Beverly fostered, two of whom they adopted.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly; children, Kimberly Fleury, Roger (Gina) Fleury, Gary (Tina) Louks, Kevin R. (Mary-Beth) Fleury, Cheryl Hall, Mary Ann (Brian) Kendzierski and Charles Fleury; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary O’Donnell, Yvonne (Larry) Snowden and Annette (Patrick) McAuley; brothers, W. Joseph (Joyce) Fleury and James (Deborah) Fleury; sister-in-law, Sandy Fleury; and brother-in-law, Joe Walker. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffry D. Fleury; four brothers; and six sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery, Port Huron. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
