Shaun P. Kearney
September 17th, 1981 to November 26th, 2011
Shaun Patrick Kearney, our special little angel went up to heaven Saturday, November 26, 2011.
He was born September 17, 1981 in Port Huron, Michigan to his proud parents James and Karen Kearney.
Shaun attended Woodland Developmental Center (RESA) until the spring of 2008. Woodland was such an important part of Shaun's life. He met so many kind and caring individuals through the years that touched and made a difference in his life, more than they'll ever know. There were also many caring case workers and doctors that took the time to understand Shaun and truly care for him. Shaun gave his unconditional love always and asked for so little in return. We know that he is in his grandparents arms now. Take good care of him until we meet again.
Shaun will be sadly missed by his parents James and Karen Kearney; siblings, James (Alyson) Kearney Jr, Myles Kearney and devoted sister Rachel Kearney all of Port Huron; loving aunts and uncles, James (Lori) Fletcher Jr of Texas, Gary (Mary Lynne) Fletcher of Ft. Gratiot, Harold (Carol) Fletcher, Joan (Russ) McNeill of Port Huron, Carol (Jerry) Blais of St. Clair, Bev (Ron) Polley of Marysville and countless cousins. Uncle Shaun also had two loving nieces Katlyn and Scarlette Kearney. They all knew how special Shaun was and were always there to help in any way they could.
Shaun was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Margaret Kearney, James and Martha Fletcher, step-grandfather Milo Kimball, aunt Joyce Kearney, cousin Amy Fletcher and a very special aunt, Linda Fletcher.
Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 6-9pm Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 10am Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can me made in Shaun's memory to the ARC of St. Clair County or the American Diabetes Association.
